A Tip Re Ribbon

Since I started making cards I've read or heard many helpful tips. I thought I'd share some and will from time to time. This is a tip if you're using ribbon that needs to be ironed. Instead of having to set up the ironing board and the iron it's so much quicker to heat up your hair straighteners and run the ribbon through them. Don't have the straighteners too hot though.

Finally............New crads to show you.........or even cards LOL sorry for the typo!!

It's been a few days since I've written here. I've been very busy making birthday and easter cards as well as two ATC's which are headed for New Zealand.  I've added some for you to see. I was pleased with my first attempt at colouring in my digi stamp card which I got from Birds Blog. She very kindly lets card makers use her stamps and backing papers, all free! I'm pleased too that I managed how to find out how to turn the flash off on my camera........much better photos now.

My first digi stamp card

Posted by Picasa

This is my first ever digital stamp card. The stamp was downloaded free from Birds Blog which you can go to by clicking the link for her blog at the bottom of my blog on the right hand side. I coloured the poppies using high quality colouring pencils I bought from W H Smiths. One day when I'm more confident I'll treat myself to Promarkers. I hear they're excellent.

ATC & Envelope

This is one of two ATC's I made for a swap. The theme for this one was K and the other was Angel. They're now winging their way to New Zealand. I hope the lady likes them.

Easter Card

Posted by Picasa

One of quite a few Easter cards I've made. This one is decoupaged and the card is layered with pink mulberry paper and backing paper which the egg. I'll put more of my Easter cards on later.

Card made for 40th Birthday

Posted by Picasa

I'm really pleased with this decoupage card made for a male relative who's in the army. I find it difficult to come up with ideas for cards for men.

Birthday Card

Posted by Picasa

To make this card I used a tag and lovely paper which were free in one of my card making magazines. I backed the tag with mirri card added organza ribbon, a sentiment and hey presto!

Card made for an 85th birthday.

This card was made with an image I bought from Printable Heaven which I matted and layered then added a ribbon and a sentiment.

New Cards

I have made some more cards to put on my blog but haven't got round to taking photos of all of  them yet. I got some really good advice from Trish & Karen from Card_Groups about taking photos so hopefully they will look so much better than my earlier attemps.
